Woodburn a Keepsake Box

You’ll learn the basic techniques of decorative wood burning, which, although dating back centuries, can be expressed with fun, contemporary designs. Using a pen-like burning tool, you’ll work on small wood pieces to practice the basic technique. Next you’ll move on to your masterpiece, a fun keepsake box. You will learn to burn a beautiful tree and add your wedding date (or other important date) and initials. All supplies and equipment provided.
Cathy Main is the teacher for this awesome class. Cathy has a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Northridge, and a Masters of Arts degree from The University of San Francisco. She has taught many art classes including Art, Art 2, Advanced Art, AP Studio Art, Photography, Ceramics, Drawing, Calligraphy, Woodburning and Animation, at several high schools and Art Centers. She served as a Department Chair of Visual and Performing Arts at Providence High School Burbank, California.
